Type 2 Diabetes

In type 2 diabetes your body continues to secrete insulin which is necessary to pull glucose out of the blood stream, but your body no longer can utilize this insulin because the receptors no longer recognize the insulin like they use to. Exercise increases insulin sensitivity; what this means is that it makes those receptors recognize the insulin again. This allows your body to properly utilize the sugar.
Changing your body composition will also fight against this condition; by increasing lean muscle and decreasing fat mass we protect against type 2 diabetes and also stop it by losing weight which has shown time and again to end type 2 diabetes.
